Schøtstuen
Schøtstue had its main purpose of being a gathering place for the Hanseatic merchants , and in combination with Ildhuset, it served as a dining area where hot meals were served. At Bryggen Tracteursted, you will find the original Svensgården’s Schøtstue, which still stands at its original location.

Ildhuset
Ildhuset was the location where food was cooked and the stove for Schøtstuen was fired up. The floor is paved with stones, and in the center, a long fire was made.

Høyloftet
This room on the 2nd floor was used for storing hay for the horses, which were kept below Høyloftet, now known as Skjenkestue.
